Home Renovation Savings Program

Upgrade Your Home. Reduce Energy Costs. Access Available Rebates.

The Home Renovation Savings Program helps Ontario homeowners complete energy-efficient upgrades with valuable rebate support. Supported by Enbridge Gas, Save on Energy, and the Ontario Government, this program can significantly offset the cost of qualifying improvements. We help homeowners understand eligibility requirements and complete installations properly.

What is the Home Renovation Savings Program?

This program is designed to make energy-efficient upgrades more affordable while helping homeowners:

  • Lower monthly energy bills
  • Improve indoor comfort
  • Increase home value
  • Reduce environmental impact

Two Primary Paths to Savings

Path 1 – Bundled Upgrades (Energy Assessment Required)

This option requires a pre-renovation home energy assessment, the completion of at least two eligible upgrades, and a post-renovation assessment. Participants also receive a rebate (currently $600) to offset assessment costs. Eligible bundled upgrades may include:

A registered energy advisor provides a report outlining recommended improvements.

Path 2 – Single Upgrades (No Assessment Required)

Some upgrades qualify without pre- and post-assessments. These may include:

Eligibility forms typically must be completed before installation for certain upgrades. We assist homeowners in following proper program steps to avoid delays or disqualification.

What is the Home Renovation Savings Program?

Heat pumps are one of the most impactful upgrades under this program. Eligible systems may include cold-climate air source heat pumps and ground source heat pumps (where applicable).

Benefits of upgrading to a heat pump:

  • Efficient heating and cooling in one system
  • Lower operating costs compared to electric resistance heating
  • Reduced fossil fuel reliance
  • Consistent year-round comfort

We install Mitsubishi, TempShift, Fujitsu, Bosch, and other approved cold-climate systems depending on application and budget. Proper sizing and installation are critical for performance and program compliance. Financing options are available to combine rebates with manageable monthly payments.

How the Process Works

  1. Confirm eligibility through official program resources
  2. Complete required pre-approval forms (if applicable)
  3. Obtain an official quote from a participating contractor
  4. Complete installation
  5. Submit documentation
  6. Receive rebate
